This piece is a multiple from the Devonian of the Eifel. In “as-found-condition” the outer whorl of a snail, a brachiopod as well as a bellerophon could be seen. Unfortunately the Bellerophon had been damaged and broken apart. However, a part of the shell could be saved from the counterpart.  

At the beginning of the preparation all visible fossils were roughly prepared and the Bellerophon was glued. During this process the rock became much harder inside. The fine preparation was done almost exclusively using fine air abrasives. Fortunately, most of the shell of the Bellerophon could be saved, which stands out due to its striking sculpture. The fossils were prepared so that they are all clearly visible and harmoniously arranged from one side.
